Tony Blair's autobiography has been everywhere since the Wednesday morning and is wreaking havoc across the British isles as more and more excerpts fly around like shrapnel hurting some and offending others.

Prior to the publication of his memoirs, Blair decided to give profits from the book to the Royal British Legion, a charity catering for injured soldiers, a donation sometimes described as "blood money".

To many, the book is an attempt to re-impose justification for the darkest side of Blair's rule - the war in Iraq. As Daily Mail's Stephen Glover, Tony Blair "still can't see the scale of his crimes". But the account is not particularly revealing and given Blair's testimony at the Chilcot's inquiry, admission of guilt or mistake was always unlikely.

The focus of UK press is also on the Brown part of Blair's memoirs.

Blair uses rather strong language to describe Gordon Brown, the man who was once his New Labour twin, later the Chancellor and finally the prime minister.

Maddening man with zero emotional intelligence who Blair knew would be a disaster. That prompted some to question why Blair endorsed Brown as his successor. Blair claims he took to drinking as a result of pressure from Brown. There are accusations of blackmail...

Another interesting point is Blair's take on current politics and policies. Most commentators seem to conclude that he, in a way, endorses current Conservative-Liberal Democrat government and its economic policies rather than the current Labour party. There's belief that Labour needs to stick, or return, to the New Labour agenda which sounds like quiet endorsement of David Milliband, one of five candidates in the party's leadership contest.

First assessments of the Tony Blair's memoirs reveal the book just as controversial as its author who penned it himself. As an autobiography, it's bound to offer its author's world view. How it compares to what others think of Tony Blair is another matter.
