The rate of gains and losses caused for US by the publication of information on war in Afghanistan by Wikileaks is clearly supporting the existence and practice method of this web site. For now, for sure.

"While I am concerned about the disclosure of sensitive information from the battlefield that could potentially jeopardize individuals or operations, the fact is these documents do not reveal any issues that have not already informed our public debate on Afghanistan," stated Mr. Obama said at press conference in Washington DC. This statement is the core of the whole debate and Obama with his statement revealed maybe even more than he wanted. First- the national security was not jeopardized, as not just Obama , but also other officials in Pentagon confirmed. So far so good. Ok, maybe the question of "jeopardizing soldiers"- but to be a soldier was never safe occupation and nobody forced any of the soldiers to get a soldier, there is no draft against the will of people- so the soldiers in Afghanistan knew that not all developments would be favorable for their mission.

Second- the fact, that nothing new was revealed together with the fact that everything what was revealed was revealed from the Bush era is putting this leak in a very dubious light. Who has profit from this leak? Who wants here the media to debate this issue? Should not the debate about this issue remind the public, which is giving to Obama worse and worse ratings, that before Obama there was another president and that Obama in comparison with him deserves all the credit of all the mankind?

Yes, this is a fact- but if this leak would not be a coincidence but it would be a friendly pass to Wikileaks and Wikileaks was just used maybe even knowing that it has been used - than it would be another debate. But for now, there is no evidence for it, it is just a hypothetical and Wikileaks still remains a very useful media and is far from getting a PR instrument in the hands of government.
