America is showing its real face
Tue, March 9, 2010WASHINGTON
Mortgage for new breasts, mortgage for reshaping buttock, liposuction... wrinkle eradication for 20th wedding anniversary... During the time of economic recession there is no time and no money for these vanities. US plastic surgeon association is claiming the drop in surgical but also nonsurgical procedures.
Plastic surgeons are mentioning that during the year 2009 there were about 10 millions of Americans who visited their consulting rooms and decided for surgical or no surgical procedure. It is general drop of 2%. Actually, more interesting is the fact that less people undergo knife for beauty, surgical procedures decreased 17% during the last year, while only 1.5 millions of Americans underwent surgeries.
There is no surprise that at the time of economic crunch even the people are more focused in real priorities and vanities are ending in vain drain. And maybe this is the lesson that the people were taught during the economic crisis - to show their real face. No wrinkle eradication, no liposuction, no nose resection and its modification, no lips augmentation....nothing - just the pure human beings in the way that the Mother Nature created them. However, during the economic crunch people showed their real face also in other fields - real face of their behavior. Well, the fact is that the tightening the belts has its reason - less pounds to lose, and to know the people better. To know better their real face.
